“So You Say You Want to Build a New Nation”
by Tameko Barnette

so you say you want to build a new nation
a place where all elements are in harmony
a place where brilliance is inevitable
and higher consciousness dominates

Tameko poem 4

so you say you want to build a new nation
a place where family is strong and stable
a place where children are free to grow
and the Elders are vibrant, wise, and able

so you say you want to build a new nation
a place where we are not confined by time
a place where limitations no longer exist
to have it all….we must start in the mind

Tameko poem 5

a place like this can’t exist on disharmony
a place like this can’t exist on illusions and lies
a place like this can’t exist on tribal wars
a place like this can’t exist on blind third eyes

so you say you want to build a new nation Tameko poem 1

a place where we are free to illuminate…to shine

a place where we are no longer enslaved

take a stand on the battleground…the mind
